Osey Mae James Smith

Born:  6 July 1914 - Crockett, Houston, Texas
Died:  9 November 1996 - St. Joseph Hospital - Houston, Harris, Texas
Father:  Ed James
Mother:  Mary James
Spouse:  Claude Smith, Sr.

Osey Mae Smith was born to the late Ed and Mary James on July 6, 1914 in Crockett, Texas
She attended the elementary school in Malakoff, Texas and continued her education in Elm Town.  Later she received her dietary certificate from Anderson County College.
She was a member of Grace Temple Church of God in Christ for many years.  She was also a member of Trueheart O.E.S. Chapter #316 Lodge.
She was retired from Missouri Pacific Hospital.
Osey was married to Claude Smith, Sr.  To them three children were born.
She answered the call from labor to reward on Saturday, November 9, 1996 at St. Joseph Hospital, Houston, Texas
She was preceded in death by: 
Parents:  Ed and Mary James
Husband:  Claude W. Smith, Sr.
Daughter:  Juanita Steward
Sister:  Renell Starghill
2 Children:
Claude W. Smith, Jr. and wife Melba
Osey N. Nolley and husband Robert (both of Houston, Texas)
8 Grandchildren:
Craig Nolley, Neibra Stewart, Waverly Nolley, Requita Nolley, Nanette Steward, Julius Steard, Jr. Jason Nolley, Marcellous Nolley
8 Great Grandchildren
1 Niece:  Barbara Lancelin
3 Nephews:  Douglas, Ricky and Felix Starghill
And a ost of other relatives and friends.
